Editing Eyes

As I mentioned before I am trying to avoid excessive editing of my photos or at least keep the editing that I do fairly natural and believable or go all out an make it artistic. Anyway, not that I think this little girl needs any edits but I am now obsessed with enhancing the eyes, I don't do a whole lot, I take the natural eye color and lighten the highlights (so I am mainly adjusting the level of light). See how her eyes pop? I love that it's a simple enhancement that truly captures her personality!

    Very nice! How do you select just the eyes and not the whole photo?

    Thanks! I used Photoshop elements and I copy the background layer, then I zoom in so both eyes fill the frame, I then select the brush tool (200px) click on the eyes and then play around with the lighting. I would be happy to show you next time we come and visit! :)
